KNIGHTS OF THE KKK KODE OF KONDUCT FOR KLANSMEN OF ALL RANKS
A. Purpose
For obvious reasons, particularly due to the nature of our organization, it is important that we ensure that the conduct of members of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan is in keeping with the Klan’s core values of white solidarity and unity, as well as the Klan’s need to avoid unnecessary legal issues, or harm to our reputation. As such, we are committed to providing our members with clear guidelines and expectations. It must be distinctly understood that the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan is a peaceful and law-abiding organization, and does not endorse any violation of law or statute. By joining the Knight of the Ku Klux Klan, as a Klansman or Klanswoman, you agree to abide by our Kode of Konduct, in its entirety. You likewise agree to release the Knight of the Ku Klux Klan from all liability resulting from your actions or conduct. You furthermore acknowledge that your actions are your own, and are not those, nor do they represent those, of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan itself.
The aim of this Kode of Konduct is to provide guidance regarding the key issues that you need to be aware of, and the standards by which you are expected to behave as a member of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan. This Kode applies to all Klan-related functions and events, including rallies, meetings, demonstrations, webinars, conferences, and all public-facing events.
B. Basic Principles
- Members shall not engage in ANY activity that is in violation of law or statute. Members are expected to thoroughly research all federal, state, and local laws prior to performing any activity.
- Members are not to engage in any conduct that might be deemed harassment of any individual, whether a member of the public, a public servant, or law enforcement officer.
- We expect all Klan interactions with the public to be conducted with civility and respect.
- The nature of our organization tends to lead to conflicts. When handled properly, conflicts can result in educational opportunities, both for the Klansman and for the public. If handled poorly, conflicts can have a detrimental impact on the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan’s cause, fellow Klansmen, our communities, and the White Rights movement itself.
